Training for the IronMan Lake Tahoe

My Training Plan for the 2013 Tahoe Event 


Since the 2014 IM Tahoe was canceled, I'm going to update this for 2015 in anticipation that people will be training (some starting in April) for the race.

I wanted to create this blog to help other people that are training for the IM event in Tahoe and show them what I did to prepare for the event.  I know when I was looking for a training plan all I ran into was people that wanted to charge me for the information.  I was not willing to pay for this because the event was new and no matter who I asked they were all guessing about how to prepare.

Let me break down a few things.  This is all my experience and my take on it, this is not to be used as a one size fits all guide to getting race ready and completing the event.  You need to be in good shape to attempt this and I would recommend spending at least a few months before you start the training plan getting your swimming technique, running form, and cycling position dialed in.
